Présentation (UK)

Considered as one of the best Universities in France regarding the taught departments, the Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) University proposes a vast unit of formations declined in three large poles :

• 1° Law and Political Science
• 2° Economical and Management Sciences
• 3° Information and Communication Sciences.

These formations are attented by approximately 18 000 students (including 2000 foreign ones), distributed into three exceptionnal centers :

• the marvelously located Assas center (92 rue d?Assas, Paris 6th),
• the prestigious Panthéon center (12 place du Panthéon, Paris 5th)
• and at last, the peaceful Vaugirard center (391 rue de Vaugirard, Paris 15th).

To the exemplary teaching one has to add a huge international opening (partnership with the best universities in law and social sciences), the collaboration and direction of multiple institutes, formation and research centers, the whole making the fame of Paris II, university combining quality, efficacity, rigour and opening.

As all other French universities, Paris II has also an associative environment. One of the most active composant of this environment is Assas.net . As indicated in its name, Assas.net is first of all a web site dedicated to Paris II student life (distincted from the official university site), gathering most of its activity around its discussions forum, true pillar of the association itself and also of a true community of friendship and mutual help endowed with one could call an assassian awareness. Driven by the will to bringing closer students, the active members of the Assas.net forum decided to form themselves into an association according to the 1901 law. Thus was born the Assas.net association, only truly apolitical and aconfessional association of Paris II, which is looked on as an oasis in the associative desert marked by a politicking immobilism. Promoting mutual help, respect and community spirit, and thanks to their elected members of the university central boards, Assas.net likes to think it's representative of all Paris II student, beyond all political or religious barrier.
